Basal Cell Carcinoma

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is usually found on the sun-exposed areas of skin, primarily the face. It may first appear as a small pink pimple like bump, which grows slowly and may bleed easily. Depending on the microscopic picture of the lesion, the size and where it is occurring, there are different treatments available. Treatments include electrodesiccation and curettage, excision, topical treatment and Mohs’ micrographic surgery.
