Self skin examination is critical to observing changes that may be suspicious for skin cancer and precancerous lesions. Dr. Sadoff instructs patients to look at their skin monthly for spots that are new, changing or appear different from the other spots on the body. During a complete skin examination, your risks for skin cancer can be reviewed, which include genetic factors, skin type and exposure to the sun.
